2013 Ford Explorer Rear Door Won T Open

So i purchased a 97 ford explorer and the passenger door will not open from the inside handle or outside handle.

I have removed rear plastic to gain access to manual release lever. My ford flex has 99 500 miles on it and it won t start. The child lock is not on. Doors are open and unlocked.
